All waste electrical and electronic equipment must be collected separately from general waste and standard (mixed) recycling. This includes small items such as mobile phones, electrical office products like calculators, lamps, keyboards, mice, transformers, speakers, faxes and adapters. Small electrical items can be taken to one of several bring banks. More information on this is available here. We can accept the items in the small appliances recycling bins as long as they fit through the 40 cm chute. We can’t accept these items at the bring bank.
- TV monitors
- Light bulbs
- Anything that will not fit in the chute (over 40 cm in size)
* Although computers can be recycled in these bins, there have been cases of theft from the bins. We are not liable for the theft of personal data from your equipment if placed in the recycling bins.
Large electrical appliances: before considering disposal please consider repair. Companies exist that are happy to repair a range of large electrical items.
Large and small electrical appliances that no longer work can be collected via a bulky waste collection booked via 020 7641 6180. All electrical items collected will be recycled. Information on producer responsibility for electrical waste can be found here.
