The Hart of London: Christmas Sculpture

The Hart of London – the plastic waste sculpture that is lighting up St James’s Church

At the end of October, we published a blog asking for plastic bottle donations for our Christmas recycling initiative, the Hart of London. The initiative was set up in partnership with Veolia and the Heart of London Business Alliance to raise awareness of plastic waste during the festive season.

We’re extremely happy to say that the sculpture is now on display in St Jame’s Church gardens and will remain there until January 6th, so make sure you pay a visit to the installation before it’s too late.

Here is all of the information you need:

You can find the hart at St James’s Church Gardens, 197 Piccadilly, London W1J 9LL.

It’s on display every day until the 6 January from 8am until 6:30pm.

Thank you to all of the businesses that pledged your own plastic waste to help bring the Hart to life.

Here’s a video showing you how the sculpture was put to together.

Donate to a good cause whilst visiting the sculpture

As part of the Hart installation, there is a £3 tap donation point to raise money for the Church’s charity which offers night shelters for the homeless, support for asylum seekers and free counselling services. Every tap donation will see the Hart light up with beautiful illumination, creating a magical moment that visitors are sure to remember.
