How to dispose of liquid waste
Liquid waste types such as certain food and beverages, fat, oil but also grease interceptor residue, septic tank sludge and liquid cleaning products do not belong in the general rubbish bins/bags and certainly not in the recycling.
Drain liquids from food and beverages first before disposing of them in the food waste or general waste bin. Liquids can otherwise leak from bags and bins for which you can be hold accountable. Source segregated catering waste for composting should never be presented in bags on the street for collection and always needs to be in a bin or container.
Fats and oils needs a specialist collection as do paints and chemicals.
Residues from grease and sand/grit interceptors as well as septic tanks requires specialist disposal. Contact us if you require further information.
