  • What is the cost for the food waste collection?
      • Costs differ depending on the service and bin size etc. and are available upon request. Get a quote by clicking below and contacting us today.

  • On construction projects, operating in Westminster, who have mixed waste collections (EWC 170904), can the streams in guidance be collected co-mingled
      • CWS has an exemption that allows for paper, card and glass to be recycled within one co-mingled dry mixed recycling service.
  • We already use the Red and blue bags. The food waste can vary day to day. How can this be made to work practically in terms of collections with Westminster?
      • We are flexible on providing a collection schedule that works for you. If you food waste varies from day to day, but you are producing food waste everyday, we would suggest a daily collection. Otherwise, once every two days may work better for your business. Contact our team to discuss a service that works best for you.
  • How do we leave food containers on the street overnight for collection? How will this work?
      • Food containers won’t need to be left out overnight. We have a night service where any food waste containers contracted to be left out at night will be collected within a few hours.
  • When can we expect the FPN's start to be implemented for non compliance
      • Enforcement is set to start from 1 April 2025.
      • The Environment Agency (EA) will assess compliance using an intelligence-led, risk-based approach. Compliance Notices may be issued to waste collectors, producers, and brokers. Enforcement action will be proportionate, starting with advice and guidance before considering prosecution. Fines for offenses under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 will be determined by the court.
  • How are we supposed to containerise food outside in the street? It is not that clear to us.
      • We provide 23 litre food waste caddies that can be placed out onto the street for collection.
  • We have flower shops, do they need garden waste bins?
      • We have a garden waste service in Westminster. This can be collected via bins or garden waste bags. Garden waste is not currently part of the Simpler Recycling legislation but a garden waste service is strongly encouraged.
  • Where can we get resources, such as bin stickers and posters?
