As a business, healthcare establishment or academic institution based in Westminster, new legislation on waste and recycling will impact you.
The new regulations will require all businesses to separate recyclable materials, including glass, cans, plastic, paper and card, and food waste from general waste. That’s why we’ve teamed up with WRAP, a global sustainability charity, and the New West End Company (NWEC) to deliver a new business support program to help you prepare for the upcoming changes. Westminster is one of five areas to pilot this program, which will run for 10 weeks between February 16th and April 21st, 2023.
What is the pilot program?
The pilot in Westminster focuses on businesses in the NWEC area. The aim of the pilot program is to promote the benefits of recycling, increase business recycling rates, and help you comply with the new regulations. It offers dedicated Business Advisors who will work with you to understand how the new regulations will impact your business, what you need to do, and what resources are available to help you. During the 10-week pilot period, Business Advisors will be making visits to commercial premises and calling businesses to offer support and guidance.
